Day-Night Curtains: A Versatile Solution for Dubai

Day-night curtains, also known as zebra blinds, are a modern type of roller blind with a unique construction. The fabric consists of alternating sheer and opaque stripes. When the two layers shift relative to each other, the sheer sections either align to let light through, or are covered by opaque stripes to create darkness.

This mechanism gives you complete control over lighting levels without the need for two separate window treatments. In the morning, you can enjoy soft diffused light, and in the evening, a single adjustment turns them into an opaque barrier for complete privacy.

The Solara Design catalogue features day-night curtains in dozens of colour options: from classic whites and beiges to rich greys and browns. Stripe widths range from narrow (3 cm) to wide (10 cm), allowing you to match the pattern to your window scale and ceiling height.

Installation takes no more than an hour per window. The curtains mount on a compact cassette that is virtually invisible and takes up no useful space. For tall or hard-to-reach windows, we offer a motorised version with remote or app control. All mechanisms are tested and designed for intensive use in the UAE's hot climate.
