Start with samples: compare colour, texture and slat width in your own lighting. For a wood finish, explore wooden blinds. Confirm the exact material, coating and available dimensions before ordering. Colour options and availability of the chosen product need to be checked during selection.
Light, views and privacy
Tilting the slats changes the direction of light and the view through the window; raising them opens the glazing. Assess a sample in daylight and with the room lights on. Closed slats do not guarantee complete darkness: consider gaps within and around the blind. If darkness for sleep is the priority, compare blackout curtains or roller blinds with a suitable fabric.
What to check at measurement
- Recess depth and a suitable fixing surface for the brackets.
- Handle positions, sills and the direction of window opening.
- The space taken up by the slats when raised.
- Whether separate blinds are needed for individual windows or glazing sections.
- A convenient control side and height.
Send a photograph of the full window and approximate dimensions for an initial discussion. Maximum width, drop and panel divisions are confirmed for the selected system. For wide openings, also consider vertical blinds.
Kitchens, bathrooms and care
For a humid room, check requirements for the whole product, including the finish, brackets and mechanism. The material name alone does not establish resistance to water, steam or cleaning products. Confirm permitted conditions and care instructions before ordering. A cleaning method suitable for another blind may not suit the selected model.

The starting price of AED 130 per m² is a guide. The quote should identify slat material and colour, dimensions, quantity, mechanism, fixings and included work. If you need motorisation, discuss mechanism compatibility, power supply and required controls in advance. Motorised lifting and tilting functions must be checked for the particular system.
